Through the Wiki Education Foundation, instructors cultivate enriching learning opportunities, where any learner can contribute to open scholarship and education for all. Rather than writing term papers that end up in a drawer, students contribute to a knowledge base used across the world daily: this is service learning with a lasting impact. In this session, presenters will introduce the Wiki Education Foundation, describe how the program works, and present recent research that evaluates and illustrates the efficacy of the program’s outcomes: critical information literacy, collaboration, leadership, and effective communication.
